Life growing up in the Village of West Africa.

Many people ask, what was my childhood like or how what kind of food did you eat in Africa? And the answer's to those questions are quite simple. Of course life in the Village is different from the modern world, but that's how we survived, the traditional way.

Back then when I was a kid the Village had no running water, we use to get water from a Well for bathing, eating, drinking, etc. In fact if we wanted cold water for drinking we used what is called a clay pot to make it chill. It's a round or oval shaped pot made of clay and skill.

As a child I remember going hunting with my father, my father had lots of animals like goats, and cows. I use to milk the cows as needed. I attended a local school where we sat on the ground ( no chairs) to learn for at least 2 to 3 hours in the morning and 2 to 3 hours in the evening.

Our dominate language is Soninke, the countries officials language is English, but depending on your tribe and mother's tongue there's others languages like Fulla, Mandinka and Wolof. 

The countries of West Africa include: Benin, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Cape Verde, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, and Togo.
